William Kinder was born in September 1840 in Dukinfield, Cheshire, England, UK to Robert and Sally Kinder.
He joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on 2 Mar 1857. He joined the military 30 May 1859 according to LDS Church records of the Manchester Conference. (British film #87028, Item #17, page 28.)
Between 1859 and 1864 William married Ellen Bradley of England. Unknown place and date of marriage. They immigrated to the United States, living in New York where their first child, Esther Kinder, was born abt 1864. Daughter Lucy Kinder was born 21 December 1870, in Victor, Ontario, New York, United States.

William died 26 Feb 1887 possibly in New York. Not proven.

ReplyDeleteOKinder, Thank you so much for the information. Do you have a copy of it or know where I can find it? I did find about the Mellenville Cemetery. His wife bought the plots where several of the family is buried. I don't think he has a headstone or at least the person who looked at it for me didn't mention him. Thank you for responding.
